Hyper-V not working on a non-VT cpu
If you have not downloaded and installed the intel CPU ID utility, you may see the following, and with good reason. Go and get a new CPU, you dont have Intel VT support.

If you going to run Hyper-V make sure the CPU supports it. This is how it looks on an Intel. This is a IBM Lenovo thinkpad Z61p

Hyper-V and laptops - Z61p T61p
If you are trying to use a IBM (lenovo) Z61p or T61p then make sure you go to Intel and check that you have a CPU that supports it. You need to go to Intel and download the right binary for your CPU, the link is here.

Once you do that you can ensure that your CPU is supported. Here is an example.
